ochako uraraka, aspiring hero of class 1A at UA highschool, is the light of my life. and here's why:
She's a hero!!!
Uravity! Despite what some nasty little dweebs will say this girl has a pure heart and her reason for becoming a hero is just as valid and honorable as anyone else in her class.
First of all, fuckers, Ochako wants to earn money to support her parents who have fallen on hard times, not to live in luxury. She's currently poorer than poor, and is putting in work to get where she wants to be. There is nothing shallow or greedy about that. Even Izuku, the protagonist, supports her and acknowledges her practical approach to becoming a hero. Girl's gotta make a living.

Second of all, this girl has more than just money on her mind. Later in the manga we get to see a bit more of her internal feelings. Ocha has always wanted to save people. Her quirk zero gravity isn't much in terms of combat, so she learns how to fight. During the provisional license arc, we got the famous Throw These Feelings Away scene. I've said it a hundred times but I'll say it again for the record: Ochako is so focused on her goal of becoming a pro hero she bottles up her developing feelings for Izuku. This fifteen year old girl chooses her future over her feelings.
She loves her friends!!!

Izuku: She's the first friend he makes at UA! They're best friends and my favorite probable endgame pair!!!
They save each other countless times, from Izuku diving in front of explosions for her to Ochako risking herself to stop Izuku's quirk going haywire. Her feelings for him don't overwhelm her character or hinder her development or even make things awkward between them. It's clear she loves him deeply, and he supports her like a best friend should.
